Head of Legal
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Head of Legal to take overall responsibility for the legal and compliance function at BattMan Energy. You will build the in-house legal function and develop BattMan Energy’s corporate governance and contractual base for our further expansion.

This role requires a strong commercial mindset, hands-on execution, and the ability to manage complex legal and regulatory matters both in Denmark and internationally.

Role
As Head of Legal, you will be the company’s primary legal advisor. You will cover corporate governance, transactions, contracts, risk management, and compliance across the group. You will work closely with the management team, the Board of Directors, investors, and external advisors to ensure that our business grows on a strong and scalable legal foundation.

Core responsibilities

• Run corporate governance and compliance across the group, including shareholder matters, and regulatory filings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial-, project-, and financing-contracts (EPCm, BESS, O&M, trading, etc.).
• Support capital raising and investor relations, including due diligence and transaction documents.
• Advise on project development agreements, permitting, and compliance with planning and environmental laws.
• Manage disputes and claims with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Educate colleagues on legal risks and build efficient processes for approvals and decision-making.

Who you are
We imagine you have:

• At least 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an international industrial company and/or a commercial law firm.
• Strong knowledge of international commercial contracts, including the ability to draft and negotiate such contracts.
• An exceptional ability to manage multiple complex matters in parallel, without losing sight of the detail, individual tasks or the bigger picture
• The ability to work independently, including self-education on relevant matters and solving issues without access to internal legal sparring.   
• Excellent communication skills, a sense of urgency, and a can-do mindset with the ability to simplify complex matters.
• Business fluency in Danish and English. 

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have experience with: 

• Industry contracting frameworks such as Orgalime, FIDIC, AB(R/T)18, and similar. 
• M&A and transaction processes. 
• Corporate compliance.
• Managing disputes and claims.
• Danish real estate and employment law.
