Business Development Manager & Key Account Manager

BattMan Energy (BME) is looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) & Key Account Manager (KAM). In this role, you will be part of our co-location business unit. You will work closely with clients, shape business plans, and support the growth of our battery energy storage projects.

Role
The BDM & KAM will focus on establishing BMEs presence in Denmark while laying the foundation for international expansion. This individual will identify and cultivate relationships with key accounts in the Danish market and collaborate with those clients to develop tailored plans for entering Germany, Sweden, Finland, and potentially other international markets.

Key Objectives:

  • Build BME co-location’s client base in Denmark and create a strong domestic foundation.
  • Partner with Danish-based international clients to explore opportunities for geographic expansion.
  • Foster long-term relationships with clients across key markets to drive project development opportunities.
  • Ensure BME co-location’s solutions meet the needs of both domestic and international clients.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Account Development (Domestic focus): Build and manage relationships with utilities, developers, and industrial clients. Serve as the main contact for Danish clients, coordinate with technical and project teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • International Expansion (Client-Driven): Support Danish-based international clients in executing global energy strategies. Develop business plans for growth in Germany, Sweden, and Finland. Identify opportunities to leverage existing client relationships for market entry.
  • Costumer interaction: Conduct regular meetings, site visits, and presentations. Act as a trusted advisor and gather feedback to improve offerings.
  • Sales & Business Development: Secure agreements, develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and build a strong project pipeline aligned with company goals.
  • Market Development: Analyze markets, identify opportunities, and establish relationships with utilities, regulators, and partners. Create regional growth roadmaps.
  • Representation & Networking: Represent the company at events and forums, enhancing visibility and credibility in Denmark and abroad.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Align efforts with the business unit leader. Provide updates on accounts, progress, and expansion activities.

Who you are
We imagine that you have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Experience
    • 5-8 years in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sectors.
    • Proven track record of building client relationships and developing accounts from domestic into international markets.
  • Skills
    • Strong ability to manage client relationships and create strategic account plans.
    • Experience in renewable energy, BESS, or related fields is preferred.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, engineering, or related discipline.
